Developing Story: Britney Has Lost Custody (Temporarily)

TMZ.com is reporting, that L.A. County Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon issued an order today stating that Kevin Federline, the boys' father, "is to retain physical custody of the minor children on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 12:00 PM until further order of the court."

What can I say about this? Well, if "he said/she said" shit held up in court with REAL people, custody battles would turn out so differently.

I would love to see proof of half the crap this poor girl is ACCUSED of.

Stand tall Britney, get yourself in shape mentally and physically.

Why Do We Care So Much?

Ok so, it has to be written and must be said! For the past several years, we have all seen dramatic fall of the former pop Queen Britney Spears. We have seen pictures, video's, blogs, video blogs, talk show host's, news reporters, etc. go after this girl and blast her for how she leads her life. We act as a society that is her parent when yet, we are not. When we see the slightest little "mess up" in her parenting skills, we as a society bash her for how she raises her children.
So now, some questions. Why do we worry so much over a celebrities lifestyle and how they raise their children? Why do we worry about how differently or how much alike they do things as we do? Is this because they have more money than we do? Is it because they entertain us so much when they sing, dance, or act (which is their JOB to do), that we feel we must be entertained by how they privately live as well?

These are all very easy and warranted questions to ask, what is the fixation? Do you find yourself worrying about the neighbor down the road who is single yet she raises 3 children as well? You can easily say "well, I don't know the neighbor down the road", well, do you know Britney Spears personally either? Probably not and yet, you find yourself glued to her every waking minute that someone catches on film and sells to the highest bidder.

When you were growing up did you ever; ride without a seat belt, drink water from the hose, eat junk food, pretend or forget to brush your teeth, did your mom leave you in the car for 5 mins in front of the nearest convenice store? I am sure some of these things happend to you at some point in your life and well, your alive. But, nobody was concerened about things your mother did because, she isn't a celebrity and some of those things your mother did, would be scowled at horribly today if she attempted them again. I just don't understand the fascination of having to be in someone's life because they are famous. Just because they perform for your amusement in some way does not mean their entire life is open for amusement to you and everyone else in the world.

I don't blame Britney at all for having a "melt down", I think, as a mother, I would too if I didn't get a moments peace. Especially with post-partum depression being an inevatble thing after a child is born.

I think that everyone just needs to back off of celeb's period when it comes to private things. We don't report in the news about people who do worse than what celeb's do and morally, that isn't right.

Oh, and as for her outfit at the MTV Movie awards, was it flattering? No, not by any means at all. Was she fat? HELL NO, Britney has some curves now and looks like she eats. The girls just needed a different outfit on was all.

So yes, there is my once again loud opinion on part of Society's Glue. Hope you enjoyed and would LOVE hearing from you.

Dru, out.

Oh No They Didn't

It seems that a show is only good enough when it is "main stream" popular. Who cares how big a following the show has after it has aired its last episode, who cares how much merchandise from the show goes for on e-bay, and who cares about petitions going around to spin movies off of the shows (even if one movie has already been done).

What show am I speaking of? The WB and UPN's cash cow from the late 90s - early 00's. Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This show is highly underrated in today's society but, has such a huge fan base that I think is personally misunderstood.

Re-runs from the show used to air every morning on FX. First, it was 2 episode's back to back, then it dropped to one episode, then they moved it to one show on Saturday and Sunday morning only and now, well, it has been dropped permanently from the schedule.

Like I said, OH NO THEY DIDN'T! Instead, let's show re-runs of shows still currently running on tv!!! Does that even make sense?

I thought re-runs were supposed to be for shows that are no longer on the air, that have been cancelled and finished, am I wrong in assuming this? Maybe I am. But maybe television exec.'s need to actually go back and re-think this re-run situation.

I think "Nick at Nite" has the best presentation when it comes to showing re-runs. Probably have outstanding ratings due to the older shows that they show. If FX, Spike TV, or even Nick at Nite pick up Buffy for the re-runs and advertise it, one of those networks would see such a ratings boom, its not even funny.

Come on TV, get with the program. Pardon the pun.

Please, Slate Your Name

OK so, let's get the introduction's out of the way. Me, I am Dru Anne, I am female, mid-20's and well, I am told that I am quite opinionated so, I figure..why not shout my opinions out over the Internet. Hey, they could actually be heard! My "opinionated topics" of normal discussion are that of the Entertainment Industry. So I figure, why not gear my blog towards Hollywood's direction?Long story short, your going to read what I think, see news that I find out (cited perfectly of course) and I will want to hear from you as well! What good are opinions or debates without outside comments? So, sit back, and enjoy the gossiping, loud-mouthing, foul degradation of Society's Glue...the Entertainment Industry!
